taco and ranch seasoned chicken served in tortillas with toppings of your choosing

Are you a taco lover? I sure am! In fact, I could most likely eat tacos just about every day of the week and never grow tired! So many varieties, toppings, flavors, and more!

These tasty tacos come together using the convenience of your slow cooker! Simply place the ingredients into your crockpot in the morning, move on with your day, and come dinnertime, shred the chicken and serve! Doesn’t get easier than that, right?

Slow cooked chicken breasts with taco seasoning, ranch seasoning and chicken broth. Slow Cooker Ranch Chicken Tacos are a fun and tasty taco variation!

To change things up from serving this chicken in tortillas, you can also serve on tostada shells, over lettuce, in a wrap, over tortilla chips, and more! Plus, you can choose between flour and corn tortillas! Personally, I use flour more often due to the fact they roll up a bit easier. Crispy taco shells are a fav in my house too! You can’t go wrong!

What should you serve with tacos?

Ingredients Needed for these Slow Cooker Chicken Ranch Tacos:

    Chicken Breasts, frozen or thawed

    Ranch Seasoning

    Taco seasoning

    Chicken Broth

    Tortillas

    How to prepare:

Place chicken breasts in slow cooker.

Add ranch mix and taco mix on top.

Pour in chicken broth and place lid on slow cooker.

Cook 4-5 hours on high, 7-8 hours on low.

Once chicken is cooked, shred with a fork and scoop onto a warm tortilla.

Add toppings to taco as well as a layer of ranch dressing for added flavor.

    Frequently asked questions:

How do I add a little heat to this recipe? You can add in some red pepper flakes or a few teaspoons of hot sauce!

What toppings should I add to these tacos? The sky is the limit! Diced onion, tomatoes, avocado, jalapenos, sour cream, salsa, cheese, black olives, lettuce, etc.

What do I do if I have leftover meat? If you don’t want to have leftovers, this chicken freezes perfectly!

How do I avoid messy tacos? Using a slotted fork when scooping the meat onto tortillas really helps eliminate most of the excess liquid.
