There have been so many times that I have wanted to make a recipe, only to be missing one ingredient; taco seasoning. A friend posted this recipe and it was for a homemade version of taco seasoning. I loved the idea since it made a few packets worth and was quite easy to make. This version makes 9 tbsp total, so I put it in a small storage container and pull it out when needed. You can alter it anyway you prefer.
Ingredients:
4 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp ground cumin
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (more or less depending on how spicy you want it)
1 tsp dried oregano
Directions:
Mix ingredients together in a ziploc bag or storage container. 2 tbsp equals one store packet of seasoning.
