Oreo Chocolate Brownie Trifle

August 21, 2013 by Kristin 10 Comments

Oh. My. Goodness!!! This trifle was out of this world yummy!!! Definitely one of my new favorite sweet treats. My hubby loves Oreos, and I love brownies, so I decided to add them together. The end result was full of chocolate, not too rich, and kept us going back for more! This would be perfect for a party, get together with friends, or dessert for the family!!

Ingredients:

1 box of brownies (enough to make a 8×8 pan)
Ingredients for the brownies (usually egg, water, and oil)
2 small packages of chocolate pudding
1 (16 oz) container cool whip
1 package Oreos (I got the double stuffed)

Directions:

Prepare the box of brownies as directed on box. Once cooked, allow to cool completely before cutting into small cubes. While brownies are cooking, make the pudding (both boxes). Set pudding in refrigerator for at least one hour. In a gallon sized bag, add package of Oreos and crush them into smaller chunks.
To assemble trifle: place 1/2 the brownies on the bottom of the trifle bowl. Add 1/2 the chocolate pudding on top. Next, put 1/2 the cool whip on top of pudding. Sprinkle 1/2 the cookie crumbs on top of cool whip. Continue pattern ending with the cool whip. Sprinkle remaining cookies on top of trifle in desired pattern. Place trifle into refrigerator until ready to eat!!!
