layers of taco seasoned beef, corn chips, cheese, and crescents to form a pie

Are you a taco fan? My family sure is! Over the years, we have tried chicken tacos, beef, casseroles, bakes, and more! We love them all! So many varieties, ways to change them up to fit ours desires, and most of the time…they come together in no time!

    What is Frito Taco Pie?

You may be wondering what it is, right?! Well, it’s not an actual pie, I would say it’s closer to a casserole, just baked in a pie dish.

Made using only a few simple ingredients, this dish includes a bottom layer of crescent rolls, taco seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and crushed corn chips!

The end result is incredibly flavorful and one the entire family will enjoy! You can even add your favorite toppings just before serving to really make it your own!

Ingredients Needed for this Frito Taco Pie:

    Ground beef or turkey
    Taco seasoning
    Water
    Crescent rolls
    Sour cream
    Cheddar cheese, shredded
    Crushed corn chips (Fritos)

    How to prepare:

In a skillet, cook meat over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain fat.

Add in taco seasoning and water.

Cook mixture for about 5 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed.

Meanwhile, in a lightly greased 9-inch pie dish, pressed crescent rolls into bottom to form crust. *Unroll crescents and lay points towards center of pie dish.

Sprinkle one cup of crushed chips on the crust.

Place meat on top of corn chips.

Spread the sour cream evenly over the meat.

Sprinkle the cheese on top of the sour cream.

Sprinkle remaining corn chips on top of cheese.

Place in a preheated oven, 400, and bake 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve!
