Chicken Ranch Pasta

As I have mentioned already, my family and I are huge fans of pasta. I have made a yummy slow cooker meal that is similar to this, but this one is made over the stove, so if you are in a hurry to throw something together quickly, this is the version you would want!!! Its quite tasty and full of flavor. My five year old son had three plates of this, that means that this Cookin Chick will definitely be making it again!!! : )

12 oz Penne pasta
2 cups cooked, chopped chicken
3/4 cup cooked, chopped bacon
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
1 packet dry Ranch dressing mix (you can use less if desired)
1 cup cheddar cheese

Cook pasta according to directions. Drain and set aside. *If you add a little bit of olive oil to pasta, it will prevent it from sticking.
In large pan, melt butter. Stir in flour and allow to cook for about one minute. Slowly pour in milk. Allow to simmer until milk thickens up. Add in ranch mix and cheddar cheese and stir until cheese is melted and sauce is thicker. *If sauce is too thin for liking, you can add a bit more flour.
Add in bacon and chicken and mix thoroughly. Toss in pasta and combine. Serve warm!

I made this for my husband and I last night and it was AMAZING!! I used rotini pasta instead of penne and I used mozzarella cheese instead of chedder (only because we only had rotini and because I hate chedder cheese) and my husband kept asking for more and telling me he hopes I’m going to make this again! Thanks for a great recipe!!
