What Is RumChata?
If you've never tried RumChata before, it's a creamy cinnamon vanilla liqueur that tastes amazing mixed into coffee drinks. It has a sweet, smooth flavor inspired by horchata and works perfectly in both hot and iced coffee recipes!
Ingredient Notes
See printable recipe card at the bottom of the post for exact ingredient amounts and directions.

- RumChata: A creamy cinnamon vanilla liqueur that gives this coffee cocktail its smooth, sweet flavor.
- Coffee: Cold brew or strong brewed coffee both work great. If using freshly brewed coffee, let it cool to room temperature before pouring over ice so the drink doesn't get watered down.
- Ice: Keeps the drink cold and refreshing without needing to wait for hot coffee to cool down.
- Garnishes: Whipped cream, cinnamon, caramel drizzle, chocolate syrup, or sprinkles make this boozy iced coffee even more fun to serve!
Variations & Substitutions
- Use hot coffee instead of iced for an easy RumChata coffee drink.
- Swap in cold brew for an extra smooth flavor.
- Blend with ice for a frozen drink similar to my Baileys Mocha Frappuccino.
- Add Kahlua or vanilla vodka for a stronger cocktail.
- Top with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, or cinnamon for extra flavor.
- This easy drink tastes similar to a homemade RumChata iced latte from your favorite coffee shop.
