This Baileys frappuccino is a creamy frozen coffee drink made with Baileys Irish Cream, coffee, chocolate syrup, and ice for the ultimate boozy summer treat. Similar to a mocha frappuccino, this easy blended drink comes together in just minutes right at home!

Whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top of two glasses of Baileys Frappuccino.

I don't know about you, but once warmer weather hits, I start craving frozen coffee drinks nonstop like my Frozen Chocolate Mudslides, RumChata Iced Coffee, and homemade frappuccinos. Instead of spending money on Starbucks frappuccinos, I started making my own at home and honestly, this Baileys version may be my favorite yet. Creamy, chocolatey, cold, and topped with whipped cream, it tastes like a frozen mocha coffee cocktail with a fun adult twist. Perfect for happy hour, summer parties, or an afternoon pick-me-up!

    Ingredient Notes

See printable recipe card below for exact ingredients and full directions.

All the ingredients needed to make a Baileys Frappuccino.
    • Coffee: Make sure the coffee is chilled before blending so the frappuccino stays cold and creamy instead of watery.
    • Baileys Irish Cream: Adds the rich, creamy flavor that gives this frozen coffee drink its fun boozy twist.
    • Chocolate Syrup: Gives the drink its mocha flavor and blends perfectly with the coffee and Baileys.
    • Ice: Crushed ice blends more smoothly and creates a thicker frappuccino texture.

    Fun Variations

    • Add extra chocolate syrup for a richer chocolate flavor.
    • Use espresso or cold brew for a stronger coffee kick.
    • Swap in dairy-free milk and whipped topping if needed.
    • Leave out the Baileys for a kid-friendly frozen mocha drink.
    • Top with chocolate shavings, mini chocolate chips, or extra whipped cream for an even more dessert-style frappuccino.

Step 6. Pour evenly into two glasses and top with whipped cream and sprinkles if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!

    Tips for Success

    • Use chilled coffee so the frappuccino stays thick and icy instead of melting too quickly.
    • Crushed ice blends smoother and gives the drink a creamier texture.
    • Want a stronger coffee flavor? Use espresso or cold brew instead of regular brewed coffee.
    • Serve right away for the best frosty, coffeehouse-style texture.

    Make Ahead & Storage

This Baileys frappuccino is best enjoyed right after blending for the creamiest frozen texture. If needed, you can brew the coffee ahead of time and keep it chilled in the refrigerator until ready to use. Leftovers can be frozen and blended again with a splash of milk to help smooth everything back out.

    Baileys Frappuccino Recipe FAQs

Can I make a Baileys frappuccino without alcohol?

Yes! Simply leave out the Baileys Irish Cream for a kid-friendly frozen mocha coffee drink.

Can I use espresso in a Baileys frappuccino?

Absolutely! Espresso or cold brew will give the drink a stronger coffee flavor and richer taste.

What is the difference between a Baileys frappuccino and a frappe?

A frappuccino is typically creamier and blended with coffee, while a frappe can be lighter and more ice-based depending on the recipe.

Can I make a Baileys frappuccino ahead of time?

This drink is best served immediately, but leftovers can be frozen and blended again with a splash of milk before serving.

Here’s a tweet for more icy ones without diluting it, freeze some of the coffee into cubes and use, works like a charm!

Not good ratio, came out super foamy after bending and no icy/fappachino consistency at all. Great base but will have to tweak to get it thicker.

Unlike you, I HATE Starbucks coffee-wouldn’t walk across the street for one if they were giving them away for free. That said, your recipe does sound good and I think I will have to give this a try. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I was an AVID fan for the longest time, but boy their prices have sky rocketed. I find myself making coffee drinks at home or going to the local shops instead these days! Enjoy!!
