Have you been to Chick-Fil-A to try their Peppermint Milkshakes?? If not, oh boy, definitely AMAZING!! My hubby and I happened to be having lunch there one day last year when they were passing out samples. We each took a small sip and agreed, it was the best milkshake we had ever tried. The peppermint flavor was not too overpowering, the ice-cream was creamy and smooth, and the slight hint of chocolate added tons of flavor. We ended up going back for milkshakes one or two more times over the month of December, but once the season passed, the shakes were gone….no longer offered!!

Just a few weeks ago, our local Chick-Fil-A brought the milkshakes back to the menu! As excited as I was, I decided to try making an at home version so that we would be able to whip it up anytime we wanted to, could make it in the summer if we so choose, and plus, its much more cost effective.

Love Christmas goodies? Check out these other family favorites:

    Bacardi Rum Cake

    Frosted Gingerbread Cinnamon Rolls

    Chocolate Crinkle Candy Cane Blossoms

The first round we tried was not an exact match. It was good, but the peppermint was a bit too strong and tasted just like you were drinking a mint. Not ideal for my tastes or anyones I would think, haha!

Second round however, was an exact replica of Chick-Fil-A. We added a tasty whip cream topping, sprinkled additional candy canes and chocolate chips on top and even my kiddos went crazy!

Since then, we have made these a few times already and have yet to go back to Chick-Fil-A to get one of theirs!

This holiday season, definitely try these Peppermint milkshakes if you are looking for a festive treat! These have become a yearly Holiday tradition in my family!

Nothing screams Christmas than getting into some Christmas themed pj’s, playing a movie, perhaps with a warm fire going, and sipping on a Peppermint Milkshake, right?!
