Years ago, my family went to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins! For breakfast one morning, my aunt had made these mini muffins and they were a huge hit!
We had never tried them before, but one bite in and we were hooked!
Just like pecan pie, but in mini muffin form. What’s not to love, right?!
After asking for the recipe, my mom began to make them for us as a weekend treat, if we had company over, or giving to friends/neighbors!
As I got older, became a mom of my own, and found the recipe, I found just how simple and quick they are to prepare!
Since then, my family has fallen in love with these mini muffins as well and the tradition continues!

I haven’t made these yet but I know they’ll be a 5 STARS! Question…..If I double the recipe how long would I cook them for if I made 12?
Kristin says
If simply doubling, the bake time stays the same. If you are making these into regular size muffins versus mini, double the time and keep an eye on them from there. Hope you enjoy!
Phyllis says
These muffins are fantastic. Love the flavor and easy to make. Thanks for all your great recipes.
Kristin says
Yay! Glad you enjoyed them and glad to hear you’re enjoying the recipes!!
Carolyn M Loeffler says
Would paper liners in the muffin cups help, or will they stick to those?
Kristin says
They will stick to the paper muffin liners, I learned that lesson the hard way, haha! If you don’t want to spray, you can use foil liners or silicone!
Kate says
Easy to make and taste amazing. My mini muffin pan betrayed me and they stuck, despite the pan being greased but that’s probably just my pan. I might try them in my muffin top pan next time.
Kristin says
Yay!! So glad you enjoyed these and oh yes, these can be a pain to get out if the pan isn’t fully non-stick. You can also use silicone liners and they pop right out!
Karen says
Have made these pecan pie muffins for years big hit with the herding club I catered for. Found if you use a dark pan you get crispy edges.. Great anytime .
Kristin says
Oh yes, my fav are the crispy edges, yum! Such a classic tried and true recipe!
Anna says
Does this cal for all purpose or self rising flour?
Kristin says
All purpose flour! Enjoy!

Any substitutes that will make it healthier, but still taste good?
Kristin and Adriana says
Unfortunately, I don’t think there are any substitutions. You can try using coconut oil in place of butter, other then that, I’m not sure 🙂
Luci Vaughn says
Can I make these as regular muffins? How many? Thanks….
Kristin and Adriana says
Yes! This will make about 12 regular sized muffins, 24 mini muffins 🙂
Anonymous says
Calorie count on these?
Kristin and Adriana says
206 per two mini muffins 🙂
