Pecan Pie Mini Muffins are made using only 5 ingredients and can be served for breakfast or dessert! Tastes like pecan pie in the form of a bite sized muffin!

using only 5 ingredients, pecan pie mini muffins are fluffy and flavor packed

Years ago, my family went to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins! For breakfast one morning, my aunt had made these mini muffins and they were a huge hit!

We had never tried them before, but one bite in and we were hooked!

Just like pecan pie, but in mini muffin form. What’s not to love, right?!

After asking for the recipe, my mom began to make them for us as a weekend treat, if we had company over, or giving to friends/neighbors!

As I got older, became a mom of my own, and found the recipe, I found just how simple and quick they are to prepare!

Since then, my family has fallen in love with these mini muffins as well and the tradition continues!

Muffin texture with a soft gooey inside like a mini-Southern pecan pie, these Mini Pecan Pie Muffins are a must try!

Each batch makes about 2 dozen mini muffins! Of course, you can also make these into regular muffins, just adjust the cook time accordingly!

Ingredients Needed for these Pecan Pie Mini Muffins:

    • Brown sugar, packed
    • Flour
    • Chopped pecans
    • Butter, melted
    • Eggs

Making the Pecan Pie Mini Muffins:

    1. In a bowl, combine sugar, flour, and pecans. Set aside.
    2. Combine the melted butter and eggs, mix well.
    3. Stir into flour mixture, until just combined.
    4. Grease a mini muffin pan and fill each cup about ⅔ full.
    5. Bake in a preheated oven, 350, for about 15-20 minutes, or until muffins test done.
    6. Remove immediately and serve!

    Tips for this recipe:

    • Ensure you have greased the pan as the muffins will stick quite firmly if not.
    • If desired, you can decrease the butter to ½ cup.
    • To freeze, allow the muffins to fully cool off and store in an airtight container/bag.
    • Freeze for up to 3 months.

These are so good. I’ve taken them to a few functions, and I’m always asked to bring them the next time. Highly recommend.

I haven’t made these yet but I know they’ll be a 5 STARS! Question…..If I double the recipe how long would I cook them for if I made 12?

If simply doubling, the bake time stays the same. If you are making these into regular size muffins versus mini, double the time and keep an eye on them from there. Hope you enjoy!

Would paper liners in the muffin cups help, or will they stick to those?

They will stick to the paper muffin liners, I learned that lesson the hard way, haha! If you don’t want to spray, you can use foil liners or silicone!

Easy to make and taste amazing. My mini muffin pan betrayed me and they stuck, despite the pan being greased but that’s probably just my pan. I might try them in my muffin top pan next time.

Yay!! So glad you enjoyed these and oh yes, these can be a pain to get out if the pan isn’t fully non-stick. You can also use silicone liners and they pop right out!

Have made these pecan pie muffins for years big hit with the herding club I catered for. Found if you use a dark pan you get crispy edges.. Great anytime .

Any substitutes that will make it healthier, but still taste good?

Unfortunately, I don’t think there are any substitutions. You can try using coconut oil in place of butter, other then that, I’m not sure 🙂
