    Peanut Butter Brownie Bites

About 7 years ago, I first posted this recipe, and it was a blog favorite! As time went on, I tried new desserts, posted more recipes, and this one got buried.

Now that my daughter is older and into baking, she has been bringing a lot of my older recipes back to life and trying them all over again!

A few nights ago, she came downstairs in the mood for a dessert. Since all I had on hand was some ice-cream, I suggested having a bowl, but she wasn’t in the mood.

She decided to scroll through my blog and came across these tasty bites!

She took my shortcut and used boxed brownie mix, so these were ready for the oven in no time!

My favorite part is the melted peanut butter center as it just oozes out as you’re enjoying it! YUM!

These Peanut Butter Brownie Bites are great to serve at parties and gatherings as they are easy to grab and go!

You can prepare these ahead of time and simply enjoy them room temperature, or warm them up to get the ooey gooey goodness!

If you’re having a sweet tooth craving, give these a try and be sure to let me know what you think in the comment section below!

    Ingredients Needed:

    • Brownie Mix- use your favorite
    • Peanut Butter- creamy
    • Peanut Butter Chips- you’ll find these in the chocolate chip section of your grocery store
    • Semi-sweet chocolate chips- you can also use white chocolate chips or dark chocolate

How to make Peanut Butter Brownie Bites

    1. Prepare brownie mix according to package or recipe above.
    2. Line a muffin tin with silicone liners OR spray with cooking spray. *Don’t use paper liners as the brownie will stick to it.
    3. Pour batter evenly into each muffin cup, filling about ⅔ full. *You’ll get about 12 cups per an 8×8 package mix.
    4. Bake in preheated oven according to package directions, muffin cups tend to take less time than brownies, so about 20-30 minutes.
    5. Once baked, remove from oven and use a tablespoon to push an indentation into the center of each cup.
    6. Pour melted peanut butter evenly into each brownie cup, followed by sprinkling the peanut butter and chocolate chips on top.
    7. Serve and enjoy!

    Tips and Tricks

    • I used a muffin pan to bake these with a round shape. A silicone brownie bites pan would be a great choice too for square brownie bites.
    • Do not overmix the brownie batter. If you like your brownie bites fudgy, mix until the ingredients are just combined. The more you stir, the cakier the finished brownies will be.
    • Be sure to lightly grease or spray your muffin tin with baking spray before adding the brownie batter.

    Recipe FAQs

Can this recipe be made as full-sized brownies?

Yes, you can use this recipe and pour batter into a 9-inch brownie pan. You will need to add more baking time. Once baked, you will remove from oven and drizzle peanut butter on top versus pushing into the brownie. Don’t forget to let brownies cool completely before cutting.

How should you store peanut butter brownie bites?

After drizzling peanut butter and chocolate chips on top, transfer the brownie bites to an airtight container in a single layer. Store at room temperature. Enjoy within 3 days for best taste.

Can you freeze these brownie bites?

Yes, brownie bites are a perfect choice for freezing! Let them thaw at room temperature or microwave, just be careful as the peanut butter will spread.

I would keep them at the same temperature the package directs, however, I would take about 10-15 minutes off of cooking time, depending on when the toothpick comes out clean once inserted in center. Enjoy!!
