This easy Bisquick Peach Cobbler recipe is a quick and delicious dessert perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have a warm and comforting cobbler in no time!

If you’re looking for more peach recipes to try, also check out my Southern Peach Cobbler, Peach Quick Bread recipe, or Peach Cobbler Dump Cake! Simple, delicious, and packed with flavor!

This easy peach cobbler recipe is a quick way to create an American favorite without the all the work. It's perfect for your weekday fix and made easy with Bisquick mix.

As I was putting it together the other night, it reminded me of a dump cake. I used peach pie filling with this cobbler; however, you can use blueberries, apples, cherries, strawberries, etc. Change up the fruit to fit your tastes because the possibilities are endless!!

    Ingredient Notes

Below is a brief overview of each ingredient needed to make this quick peach cobbler recipe. To see printable recipe card with full directions, scroll to the bottom or click the “jump to recipe” button at the top.

    • Bisquick– I use the original Bisquick mix however, if your grocery store carries an off brand, feel free to use that instead.
    • Peach Pie filling– or any pie filling flavor desired. You can also use canned peaches if you can’t find pie filling.
    • Sugar– this adds the sweetness to the crisp. Feel free to use half white sugar and half brown sugar if desired.
    • Butter– melted butter gives the cake topping a rich flavor, added moisture, and helps create a tender crumb. I use unsalted butter, but salted butter works great too.
    • Pecans– chopped

How to Make Bisquick Peach Cobbler (Step-by-Step)

This quick easy peach cobbler is ready for the oven in under 10 minutes following these simple directions.

STEP 1. Grease bundt pan and pour peach pie filling into bottom of pan.

STEP 2. Sprinkle Bisquick on top of peaches followed by the sugar.

STEP 3. Pour melted butter evenly on top of sugar mixture coating thoroughly. Sprinkle nuts. Place into oven and bake for 45 minutes or until crust gets golden brown.

easy peach cobbler with ice cream.

STEP 4. Remove from oven and serve in a bowl with or without a scoop of ice-cream.

    Tips

    • Let the cobbler rest after baking before you serve it. If Bisquick peach cobbler is served straight out of the oven, the filling will still be runny. Let it cool about 10 minutes to thicken it.
    • Experiment with filling flavors. Feel free to try peach, apple, blueberry, raspberry, or strawberry for more recipe variations.
    • Serve with ice-cream. The best combination of flavors for this crisp is the hot/cold temperature you get when the crisp is served warm and the cold ice-cream on top is included in every bite.
    • Add spices to dress it up. Spices like cinnamon or nutmeg can be used to add some extra flavor to this Bisquick peach cobbler.
    • Don't over-bake the cobbler. Overcooking peach cobbler can cause it to become mushy. Set a timer on the oven while baking to make sure it doesn't overcook.
    • To make this gluten free, use gluten-free Bisquick!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use fresh fruit in place of the peach pie filling for this shortcut peach cobbler?

Yes, however, the pie filling adds a bit of a syrup like liquid to these and if you use fresh sliced peaches, I recommend boiling with some sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon to create a homemade type filling!

What other flavors of Bisquick Peach Cobbler can I try?

The possibilities are endless! Cherry filling, blueberry, raspberry, apple, and more! Basically, if your store has a filling, it's an option!

Do I have to use chopped nuts on top of this Peach Cobbler recipe?

No! If you have an allergy or just want to omit, feel free.

Does this Bisquick Peach Cobbler have to be baked in a bundt pan?

No! You can also use an 8×8 baking dish, just adjust the time a bit as it may bake a bit faster.

How to serve Peach Cobbler Crisp

This Bisquick Peach Crisp can be served on its own at room temperature or warmed up (my fav). When serving, use a spoon to scoop into bowls and top with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, whipped cream, and/or drizzled caramel sauce on top.

    Storing and Freezing

Once baked, allow to cool completely and cover pan with saran wrap and aluminum foil. Place into refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. You can also place in an airtight container in lieu of the pan. When ready to serve, warm up in microwave and serve in bowls.

Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

Unfortunately, this crisp does NOT freeze well. The texture changes and ends up a bit gooey once thawed from freezer. Try to bake when ready to enjoy and store leftovers in refrigerator.

Sure! I would use an 8×8 for this if making it in a pan!! You may just need to adjust the baking time a bit, but it will work great still!! Enjoy!!

What about using canned peaches in heavy or light syrup as an alternative to pie filling? Which would be better?

I have used the peach pie filling only, however, as I was making this the other night, I looked at the pie filling and realized how similar the pie filling was to the heavy syrup canned peaches. You could definitely use the canned peaches in place of the filling. Hope that helps, keep us posted on what you try!!

If you use fresh peaches, you do NOT need to add additional liquid. Slice the peaches as if you would to make a pie and sprinkle with a little sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg then let set for just a little bit. The juice that develops from this will be more than enough liquid. I just made half a recipe this way today.

Can you use yellow or white cake mix and make it like a dump cake? Would it be the same with fresh peaches?

I have never tried it using the cake mix, but I would assume it would be the same, 🙂
As for using fresh peaches, you would need to make some type of glaze/syrup since the pie filling has liquid in it that the fresh peaches wouldn’t have, but you could make a small amount of sugar water perhaps? I would suggest playing around with it to see what works best.
Keep us posted on what you try and how it turns out, 🙂

I did do this as a dump cake last week…I dunno what possessed me to do so seeing as it was 3 degrees cooler than hell outside.

      It sure was good though.
