November is moving right along, and with Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, things are starting to get busy around here! Between holiday planning, school activities, and everyday life, having a few dinners figured out ahead of time can make all the difference.

This week’s menu is all about family favorites that don’t require a ton of effort. We’ve got an old-fashioned chicken dinner, a fun twist on taco night, sloppy joe sliders, slow cooker chili, and homemade mac and cheese to finish things off. Nothing fancy, just five dinners everyone can look forward to!

Looking for more dinner inspiration? Check out Weekly Meal Plan #22 for another week of easy family meals.

Weekly Meal Plan #23 featuring five easy family dinner recipes for November.

    Dinner Plans for the Week

    Monday: Forgotten Chicken

Ever have one of those Mondays when you just want to throw dinner together and let the oven do the work? Forgotten Chicken is perfect for that! Tender chicken bakes with rice and a creamy sauce for an old-fashioned dinner that practically takes care of itself.

Add some steamed green beans or roasted broccoli on the side and dinner is handled!

    Tuesday: Frito Taco Pie

Taco Tuesday is getting a crunchy upgrade! Frito Taco Pie combines seasoned ground beef, crescent rolls, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and crunchy Fritos for a fun dinner the whole family can dig into.

Serve with a simple salad, Mexican rice, or your favorite taco toppings. Don’t be surprised if everyone goes back for seconds!

    Wednesday: Sloppy Joe Sliders

We’re halfway through the week, which means quick and easy sounds pretty good! Sloppy Joe Sliders take the classic sloppy joe filling and turn it into mini sandwiches that are perfect for busy evenings.

Serve them with potato wedges, chips, or fresh veggies for a simple dinner. They’re also great for feeding a crowd if you have extra people around the table!

Thursday: Slow Cooker Taco Ranch Chili

Let the slow cooker take over tonight! Slow Cooker Taco Ranch Chili brings together the flavors of tacos and chili for a filling dinner that’s especially good on chilly November evenings.

Set out shredded cheese, sour cream, tortilla chips, and any other favorite toppings so everyone can make their bowl just the way they like it.

Friday: The Best Mac and Cheese

Friday calls for something cheesy! The Best Mac and Cheese is homemade comfort food at its finest, with tender pasta and plenty of creamy, cheesy goodness.

Serve it with a green salad, roasted broccoli, or your favorite protein to round out the meal. It’s a simple way to end the week with something everyone will be excited to eat!

Get a Head Start on Dinner

A few little shortcuts can make this week’s meals even easier!

    • Monday: Have your chicken thawed and pantry ingredients ready so Forgotten Chicken can go straight into the oven.
    • Tuesday: Brown the ground beef ahead of time for Frito Taco Pie to make assembly quicker.
    • Wednesday: Prepare the sloppy joe filling in advance and reheat it when you’re ready to assemble the sliders.
    • Thursday: Gather your chili ingredients the night before so all you have to do is get the slow cooker started in the morning.
    • Friday: Shred your cheese ahead of time and keep it refrigerated until you’re ready to make the mac and cheese.

Five Dinners Down, One Less Thing to Worry About!

And there you have it! Another week of dinners planned without having to spend every afternoon wondering what to make. From crunchy taco pie to a big bowl of chili and homemade mac and cheese, this week’s menu has a little something for everyone.

As we get closer to the holidays, I’m all about keeping things simple wherever I can. Pick the meals that work best for your schedule, switch up the days if needed, and enjoy a few less decisions during the week. See you next week with more family dinner ideas!
