Each Holiday, I try to make festive pretzel kisses. Not only are they simple to make, but my kids enjoy making them with me. In fact, as they get older, I put them in charge of making these on their own and they love it! From Christmas Pretzel Kisses, to Valentines Day Pretzels, and even Rolo Pretzel Treats and Pecan Pretzel Turtles! By simply melting a Hershey kiss in the center of pretzels, you have pretzel bites that fit any occasion!

Why You’ll Love these Candy Corn Pretzel Bites

    • Quick and easy- using only 3 ingredients, these pretzel treats are oven ready in only a few minutes!
    • Salty and sweet- whether you have a sweet tooth or craving something salty, these candy corn treats satisfy any craving!
    • Perfect to make ahead- save time and make a few batches ahead of time. They store in an airtight container for a few weeks!
    • The ultimate Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Fall treat- whether you are hosting a Halloween party and need a Halloween treat, or making these for a Fall gathering, these are easy, affordable, and a favorite with people of all ages.
    • Freezer friendly- make these ahead of time and feel free to keep frozen until needed. Or, allow them to thaw for a few minutes and enjoy them chilled!

Ingredients Needed to make Candy Corn Pretzels with Hershey Kisses

Below is a brief overview of each ingredient needed. To see printable recipe card, scroll to the bottom of this post.

    • Pretzels- any mini bite sized bag works. I love using mini twists, squares, and even circles when I can find them.
    • Candy Corn- I use classic candy corn, but if you want to make these even more festive, you can use the candy corn pumpkins or different variations.
    • Hershey Kisses- milk chocolate kisses are best, however, if you have a different flavor, that works too. Note: some other flavors melt at different rates, so if using something other than milk chocolate, you may need to add a few extra minutes.
all the ingredients needed to make pretzel bites with candy corn.

How to make Candy Corn Pretzel Hugs

    1. Place a sheet of parchment paper, aluminum foil, or a silicone baking mat down on a baking sheet.
    2. Arrange pretzels in a single layer on cookie sheet.
    3. Place an unwrapped Hershey kiss on top of each pretzel.
    4. Put baking sheet in a preheated oven, 250 degrees, and bake for about 4-5 minutes. TIP: *If the chocolate isn't soft, place back into oven for an additional 1-2 minutes.
    5. Remove cookie sheet and quickly place one candy corn on top of each Hershey kiss.
    6. Place sheet in refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes to allow to set up.
    7. Serve and enjoy!
step by step on how to make candy corn pretzel kisses.

Tips and Tricks for making Candy Corn Pretzel Bites

    • Test the kisses once in the oven! Each oven cooks differently, so test the kisses to see when they are soft enough to place that candy corn piece into. Some may cook faster whereas some can take a few extra minutes.
    • If using Hershey Kisses versus Chocolate Hugs, note that Hugs melt faster and keep an eye on them accordingly.
    • Work in batches as you don’t want the kisses to solidify once removed from oven without being able to place a candy piece in the middle.
    • Have everything ready to go BEFORE starting. We set out our pretzels, unwrap all the chocolates, and place the candy in a bowl to grab quickly.

    Storing Candy Corn Pretzel Hugs

    • Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 2 weeks. There is no need to refrigerate and they may get a bit soft if placed in the fridge.
    • To freeze, place in a freezer safe container or bag up to 3 months. Allow to thaw at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
