Tasty Watermelon Margaritas

June 14, 2019 by Kristin Leave a Comment

This Tasty Watermelon Margarita may just go down as the best margarita you have all summer! Bursting with flavor, it comes together in no time!

As I have previously mentioned in posts, my hubby has been on a roll the last few months playing bartender for us. Several nights a week, he heads over to our bar and minutes later…appears with a new drink for me to try. I’m loving it!

Last week, I went to the grocery store and noticed the watermelon on sale. Since my kids are HUGE watermelon fans, I picked one up. A few days later, I cut it up and ended up filling a container with wedges, but only using half the watermelon.

I wrapped the other half in plastic and stored it back in the refrigerator. That’s where my hubby’s inspiration came from. He came home from work, noticed the wrapped half in the refrigerator and immediately asked what my plans were for it. Not really having any, I gave him full rights to it and these margaritas were born, haha!

He sliced some up, tossed some in the blender and a few short minutes later, I was sipping this while waiting for dinner to finish. Not a bad set up, right?

The margaritas were flavorful, refreshing, and a tasty twist on the classic margarita we typically enjoy! We enjoy ours on the rocks, but this is great frozen too! The watermelon naturally sweetened this, so we didn’t have to add additional sugar!

This summer, if you’re looking for a new drink to try, give this Tasty Watermelon Margarita a try! Let me know what you think!

Enjoy, but please drink responsibly!
