Lucky Charm Cereal Bars are fun, festive treats kids love! Lucky Charm Cereal coated with a buttery marshmallow mixture that satisfies any sweet tooth craving!

festive bars made using only 3 ingredients

If you love Rice Krispy Treats, these cereal bars will be a new favorite! A variation of the classic treat, these Lucky Charm Bars use the favorite marshmallow cereal in place of Rice Krispies!

Salty and sweet Lucky Charm Cereal Bars have a crunchy texture with marshmallows in every bite! Kid approved; these easy cereal bars are the ultimate sweet treat!

When I was a kid, my mom would make my dad Rice Krispy treats and he could polish off the batch in no time! It was his most favorite dessert! Personally, I was more of a chocolate lover, so Rice Krispy Treats just weren’t my thing!

Fast forward to me being an adult and mom of three kids, I have grown to love the classic treat! In fact, I now love trying new varieties such as adding a chocolate topping, mixing in peanut butter, and even changing up the cereal used.

With St. Patrick’s Day coming up, these cereal bars are the perfect festive treat and my kids LOVED trying them out this past weekend! With only 3 ingredients needed and about 5 minutes of time to prepare, these bars can be ready to enjoy in no time!

Ingredients Needed for these Lucky Charm Cereal Bars:

    1 stick butter
    10 oz marshmallows
    7 cups Lucky Charms cereal

    Directions:

Place butter into a large bowl and microwave until melted.

Add in the marshmallows and toss to coat.

Place bowl back into microwave until marshmallows are melted and smooth.

Slowly add in the cereal and toss to coat evenly.

Pour cereal mixture into a greased 8×8 pan.

Once cereal mixture is poured evenly into pan, allow to set for about 20-30 minutes.

Use a sharp knife and cut into desired size! Enjoy!

*I removed a few marshmallows ahead of time and pressed them into the pan at the end to add more color.

Tips for the PERFECT Lucky Charms Cereal Bars:

Use fresh marshmallows! Fresh, fresh, fresh! They melt easier, taste better, and are MUCH easier to work with!

Save a few Lucky Charms marshmallows to the side and press them into the bars once they are setting up in the pan. This adds lots more festive color to the bars!

Serve these at room temperature and do NOT refrigerate! They will get too hard if chilled.

To store: line a container with parchment paper. Place the cut bars into the container in a single layer. Add another layer of parchment paper before creating next layer to avoid sticking.

Store bars in container for up to 4 days!
