Over the weekend, I was experimenting with fun, new smoothie recipes, and came across a variation of this one. My family loved it, especially the kids. I think they were more in love with the fact it had sprinkles, but it made me feel good knowing that even though it tasted like a dessert, it was not nearly as bad for you as a piece of cake would be. We definitely plan on making this one again!!
Ingredients needed for this Cake Batter Smoothie
Almond Milk- I use unsweetened vanilla milk, but you can also use cow’s milk
Bananas- frozen as this will help the smoothie thicken up and be nice and cold
Greek Yogurt- vanilla is my preference, but you can also use plain
Funfetti Cake Mix- just a few scoops from a box of cake mix are all you need
Sprinkles- optional, but highly recommended
How to make the ultimate Guiltless Cake Batter Smoothie
Add ingredients- place all ingredients minus the sprinkles into your blender.
Blend- until smooth and creamy.
Pour- evenly divide into 2 glasses.
Add- sprinkles on top and perhaps a straw if preferred.
Serve- and enjoy!
Variations to try
Feel free to use different cake mixes in this to change it from Funfetti. Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, and more all work great!
Cow’s milk works perfectly in place of the almond milk if preferred.
To add a boost of protein, feel free to add some protein powder. Even powdered collagen blends perfectly into this.

Guiltless Cake Batter Smoothie
- 1 cup almond milk *I used unsweetened vanilla
- 2 bananas *frozen
- 1 cup Greek yogurt, vanilla
- 3 tablespoon Funfetti cake mix
- Sprinkles, optional
- Place all ingredients minus the sprinkles into your blender.
- Place lid on top and blend on high for about 30 seconds.
- Once smooth, pour into cup and add sprinkles on top. Serve!
