Crispy Onion Chicken is flavorful chicken breasts coated in fried onions and baked to perfection! With a flavorful, crunchy coating and moist, tender center…you’ll enjoy every bite!

crispy chicken coated in fried onions and honey mustard

Are you a fan of fried onions?? I know I sure am! Anytime I can add them to hamburgers, into a casserole, or incorporate them into the meal somehow, I definitely do!

I love the crunch, the bit of salty onion flavoring, and the enhancement they bring to several dishes!

Last week, I purchased a few extra packages of chicken breasts because my local grocery store was having a great sale. I put all but one package into the freezer and left the one out for dinner! Not having to thaw meat, I was already ahead of the game, haha!

Since my family loves honey mustard and I love fried onions, I knew this would be the perfect chicken dish to serve for dinner!

Plus, since it only calls for 3 ingredients, it is quick and easy to prepare, can be prepped ahead of time, and is quite budget friendly!

Crispy Onion Chicken ~ easy, crispy and juicy chicken made with honey mustard and canned fried onions, on the table in no time.

If you don’t want to serve full chicken breasts, you can also dice the chicken, spread the honey mustard on top of the chicken pieces, and sprinkle the onions on top. The cooking time would decrease a bit and the dish would still have the same great flavor!

Wondering what to serve this with?? How about one or two of these great options:

    ULTIMATE Potato Salad

    Garlic Parmesan Spaghetti

    Cheesy Zucchini Bake

Be sure to let me know in the comment section below what you think if you give this chicken dish a try!!

Dip- chicken into fried onions, both sides.

Spray- cooling rack with cooking spray and place coated chicken on top.

Bake- in a preheated oven, 375, and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until cooked through.

Remove- from rack- and serve!! Enjoy!!

If you are doing low carb, add some onion powder to the mustard and roll in pork rind crumbles.
