Slow Cooker Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole

One of my most favorite appliances to use in the Fall/back to school season, is my slow cooker. Not only does it save me time, but it is also so convenient! Last weekend, I whipped my families most favorite hash brown casserole together and had it prepped in less than 5 minutes!! We returned home later that afternoon and the house smelled wonderful!!

I like to use Simply Potatoes products in my casseroles/recipes due to the fact that they are always fresh, never frozen, use real ingredients, and are easy to find in the refrigerator section of the grocery store. Their products make the prep of our meals convenient and simple!

Check out the hash brown recipe below, its a must try!! Pairs perfectly with my Baked Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches!

    Ingredients:

    • 26-32 oz Simply Potatoes hash browns
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 can cream of chicken soup
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
    • ½ cup butter, melted
    • Salt/Pepper

    Directions:

    1. In a large bowl, combine the hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, onion powder, shredded cheese, and melted butter.
    2. Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray or place a liner inside.
    3. Spread hash brown mixture evenly into slow cooker and sprinkle salt and pepper on top.
    4. Place lid on slow cooker and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until casserole is golden brown on edges and bubbly!
    5. Serve!!

Love love the cheeses hasbrowns! Made them for 2018 thanksgiving & 2018 Christmas (everyone requested I make these for christmas)! I have a 4 quart & 6 quart, at first I made a single batch in the 4 quart worked great! Decided to double in the 4 quart, and it just fit. I will be making the double batch in the 6 quart. I would highly recommend!

I doubled this once to bring it to a party my family went to. Definitely was one of the first dishes to get eaten up, haha! Glad it was a hit for you!

These potatoes are delicious. I always make a double batch so we have leftovers because they are just as delicious with eggs for breakfast. Yum.

I have three little picky eaters this recipe was a total success with them as well as praises for me from them and the picky hubby too. I would really love to win this crock pot for my best friend who lost everything a few months back.
