    Pro Tips & Tricks

After making these biscuits several times, here are some things that will ensure success each time!

    • Always Use Cold Butter: Cold butter keeps these homemade apple biscuits tender and flaky. Melted butter will make them flat unless you chill the dough.
    • Portion Evenly: Use a cookie scoop or dry measuring cup to ensure each biscuit is the same size for even baking.
    • Don't Overmix: Stir until the flour streaks disappear. Over-mixing can make your apple cinnamon biscuits tough.
    • Flour Swap: You can use gluten-free flour instead of all-purpose flour to make these easy apple biscuits gluten-free.
    • Adjust Salt: If using salted butter, omit the salt from the dry mixture for balanced flavor.
    • Add Your Twist: Sprinkle extra cinnamon, brown sugar, or even a drizzle of glaze on top for a personalized apple biscuits recipe.

    Serving & Storing

    • Serving: Enjoy these apple cinnamon biscuits warm with butter, honey, maple syrup, drizzle of vanilla glaze, or my Mixed Berry Instant Pot Jam. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a fall-inspired snack.
    • Storing: Store leftover homemade apple biscuits in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the fridge for up to 7 days.
    • Freezing: Once cooled, freeze apple biscuits in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes, or microwave briefly for a quick treat.
    • Make-Ahead Option: You can also freeze pre-cut biscuit dough. When ready, bake straight from the freezer for a grab-and-go easy apple biscuits recipe.
