    Easy Cranberry Margaritas

Have you been busy in the kitchen baking and prepping for the Holidays?! I know I sure have! Each day I have been busy making a new Christmas goodie to include on my Holiday tray at Christmas!

When Thanksgiving came around, my hubby and I had already decorated the house for Christmas, bought the kids presents, and got a huge head start on wrapping.

I felt quite confident I would be able to sit back and relax most of December because of that! Well, I was quite wrong because I ended up procrastinating baking and now, I am in crunch time with Christmas next week, oops!

This past weekend, my hubby and I had some time to relax in the afternoon. Chores were done, kids were content, and baking had been pushed off to this week.

My hubby asked if I wanted to have a drink and enjoy the pretty weather on the patio, so of course I obliged!

Can’t beat December in Houston! It was about 60 degrees and sunny, so quite beautiful!

My hubby, aka bartender, went inside and started preparing our drinks. I was expecting one of our go to cocktails, but he surprised me with this Festive Cranberry Margarita!

Not only was it quite pretty and seasonal, but it was so refreshing and delicious!

Tart, but perfectly sweetened, we were able to sip on our drinks, take a few minutes to enjoy the time of year, and decompress from everyday stresses. It was just what the weekend called for and just what I needed!

If you’re looking for a new drink to try out, give this margarita or my blood orange margarita a try!

Ingredients needed for these Festive Cranberry Margaritas:

Filled with holiday cheer, this cranberry cocktail is the perfect Christmas and New Year’s drink. Made with only 4 simple ingredients, it's super easy to make and comes together in only 5 minutes.

    • Cranberry Juice
    • Lime Juice– for the best fresh flavor, I highly recommend juicing your own limes versus using store-bought lime juice.
    • Tequila
    • Triple Sec
    • Simple Syrup

    Which Tequila to use?

Silver or reposado is traditionally considered to be the best tequila for margaritas, but any type of tequila (or smoky mezcal) will work. You don’t have to break the bank to find a good, quality tequila!

    How to prepare:

    Add- ingredients into cocktail shaker.

Strain- into margarita glasses and serve!

Garnish Options for these Festive Cranberry Margaritas:

A simple garnish can add so much color and presentation to these drinks, so be sure to add a little something to really enhance the enjoyment of these!

    • Fresh Cranberries
    • Lime Wedge
    • Sprig of Rosemary
    • Salted Rim
