I don’t know if you’d agree, but this summer seems to be lasting SO LONG! Between my kids being home from school since March due to Covid and the extreme heat Houston Blesses us with, I am ready for Fall.

I love the cooler temperatures (still in the 80’s, but I’ll take it), the pumpkin recipes, chili, soups, and more! Plus, its closer to Christmas, which is my ULTIMATE favorite!

Since we are still in the mid 90’s, I haven’t quite allowed myself to move into Fall mode quite yet, therefore summer cocktails are still my favorite!

A few nights ago, I was in the mood for a sweet treat after dinner. We didn’t really have anything quick to bake or enjoy, so I decided to go the milkshake route.

Well, the kids didn’t want one (crazy, I know), so I chose to go to “adult” route and make a Boozy Kahlua Mudslide instead!

We added some whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles to ours….but feel free to keep it simple and omit!

One sip in and I imagined myself on a beach, near the ocean, relaxing. In reality, I was in the backyard watching the kids swim, working on the blog, while my hubby pulled weeds, haha!

If you’re still in summer mode like me and want to enjoy a tasty drink, this Boozy Kahlua Mudslide just the thing to make!

Would using chocolate ice cream be too rich?

Nope, that works great too! I almost always use chocolate since it is what I have on hand! Enjoy!
