Chicken Crescent Pinwheels

Today, I went to a recipe swap. The theme was “chicken dishes” and I had completely forgot to think of something. I went through the pantry and fridge and gathered a few ingredients to experiment with. Lucky for me, it was a hit and now I will pass on the creation to you guys, : )


2 tubes pilsbury crescent rounds
One chicken breast, cooked and shredded
1 1/2 cups salsa
1/2 cup cheddar cheese


Open Pilsbury tube up and unroll each of the crescent rounds. There are typically 8 rolls per container, so you should have 16 dough strings layed out. Set aside. In bowl, mix shredded chicken, salsa, and cheese. Using a fork, place the mixture along the dough “strings”. Roll the crescent back up using your fingers to guide the roll into original form and keeping the mixture in the middle. Bake in oven at 375 for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

*If you prefer a different chicken mixture, you can use marinated chicken, chicken seasoned with italian seasoning and cream cheese, etc. Many different varieties can be created so have fun with it!
