Last weekend, my hubby and I prepared these drinks after dinner.

Since we LOVE having our original whole fruit margarita, we wanted to change it up a bit.

After noticing we had some fresh raspberries on hand, we decided to make a raspberry margarita! YUM!!!

    • Whole Fruit Raspberry Margarita

It’s a fantastic tequila cocktail to enjoy during the summer or any time of the year when you want a delicious, fresh, and fruity margarita.

The flavor was amazing and using the fresh raspberries made it taste much more natural and refreshing versus using a mixer.

Whether you want to make a yummy cocktail one evening for friends/family, or make this to go along with a grilled dinner this summer, this is simple and bound to be a hit!!

    Ingredients Needed:

    Fresh raspberries

    Patron Silver Tequila

     Triple Sec

    Lime, peeled

    Ice cubes

    Sugar

When you make your cocktails, do you use a mixer? Years ago, before my hubby and I started trying new cocktails, our go to margarita was made by adding the cheapest tequila we could find and pouring some margarita mix into our glass. We didn’t have a lot of money because we were young, newlyweds, and had small kids.

One sip of that margarita and it was extremely sweet, a bit tangy, and you most definitely could taste the sour mix.

Since it was all we knew to make, we never complained and each date night, we would order our carry out (we had young kids and didn’t want to get a babysitter) and make our go to margarita.

Years later, we went out to a Mexican restuarant one night and the bar tender made us his fav margarita. One sip of his and we knew our go to margaritas had to be changed and a thing of the past.

We got rid of the margarita mix once home and immediately began testing out tequilas, flavorings, and methods. Over the years, we have found several varieties we love, but this whole fruit one may go down as my fav.

Feel free to use any tequila you desire! If you want to use top shelf, it will be great! If you want to use a basic, cheaper version, I say go for it because the other flavors really come together and create an incredible taste regardless!

This Smooth, refreshing Whole Fruit Raspberry Margarita is the perfect cocktail to enjoy for any occasion! Print the recipe below and be sure to give it a try!

How ‘bout using Agave instead of Triple Sec ? And I would lose the sugar since I don’t like overly sweet Margaritas. I’ve been wondering about putting the whole peeled lime in the blender, rather than JUST the lime juice. The pulp blends up sufficiently ? And how many Margarita’s do you get out of this recipe ? But recipe sounds great and will be tried to celebrate July 4th weekend !

Great idea on the Agave! As long as you have a good blender, I definitely think adding the whole lime in there would be great! Sometimes, under powered blenders can leave chunks, so make sure that doesn’t happen!
Each batch makes 2 margaritas, sorry I didn’t mention that! Hope you enjoy this recipe and happy 4th!
