Looking for a tasty and simple dessert recipe? This Apple Cinnamon Streusel Dessert Pizza is the perfect combination of sweet and savory, and can be whipped up in no time.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Remove the crust from its package and place onto a pizza pan or round baking sheet.
Open the can of pie filling, and using a knife inserted into the can, coarsely chop the apples into smaller, bite-sized pieces
Pour the prepared apple pie filling onto the pizza crust, spreading it evenly across the surface, stopping at about ¼- ½ inches from the edge. Set aside.
Make the topping. In a large mixing bowl, combine ¼ c. unsalted butter, light brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and cinnamon. Use a pastry cutter or fork to combine until the mixture is well-combined and crumbly.
Add the old-fashioned oats and shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture.
Generously sprinkle the topping over the apple pie filling. Gently press the topping into the filling to help secure it into place.
Bake in a 350-degree F oven for 25 minutes or until the pizza is cooked through, the pie filling is bubbling, and the crumb topping is slightly golden-brown and crispy.
Remove from oven and allow up to 45 minutes for the pizza to cool for up to 45 minutes.
While the pizza cools, prepare the icing. Whisk together the confectioners’ sugar, ½ c. unsalted butter, slowly drizzle the heavy cream until the desired consistency is achieved.
Drizzle icing across pizza… don’t forget—pizza should be cooled. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the pizza. Using a pizza cutter, large knife, or pizza rocker, slice the pizza, serve, and enjoy!
