Ingredients

sugar

berries
fresh or frozen, any variety

lemon juice

Instructions
In a medium saucepan, add 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup water, and berries.
Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until mixture begins to simmer. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and drain through a fine mesh strainer.
Allow berry syrup to cool.
In a large pitcher, add 2 cups fresh lemon juice, berry syrup, remaining sugar, and water. Stir well.
Place pitcher in refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours.
Serve over ice and garnish with fresh lemons, herbs, or berries if desired.
