Instructions
Preheat oven to 330°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Scoop dough using a 2-tablespoon cookie scoop onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
Let cookies rest for 1 minute, then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
Notes
For larger cookies, use ¼ cup dough and increase bake time slightly.
Do not overbake, centers should look soft when removed from the oven.
If using unsalted butter, add an extra ½ teaspoon salt.
Freeze baked cookies or dough for up to 3 months for easy make-ahead treats.
