Slow Cooker Hawaiian Chicken
A flavorful chicken dish that is the perfect combination of salty and sweet. Served on rolls or enjoyed by itself, this dish is a crowd pleaser!

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- salt/pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
In a small bowl, combine the juice, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Set aside.
In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoon butter.
Add chopped onion and saute for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden.
Stir in the flour.
Pour pineapple mixture into skillet and cook an additional 5 minutes, or until sauce begins to thicken slightly.
Place chicken into slow cooker and pour sauce evenly on top.
Place lid on slow cooker and cook on low 6-7 hours, or on high 4 hours.
Once cooked, shred chicken using two forks and serve on rolls!
