- 1 lb chicken (cooked and shredded)
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 3 tablespoon canned jalapenos
- 16 oz bowtie pasta
- 2 cups Monterey jack cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 jalapeno, diced and de-seeded
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook pasta according to package directions.
While pasta is cooking, melt the cream cheese, water, and milk together in a pan over medium heat.
Add in the cheeses and stir until melted.
Add in the chicken, cooked pasta, and canned jalapenos.
Pour mixture into a 9 x 13 baking pan.
Sprinkle the diced jalapeno and bread crumbs evenly on top.
Cover pan with foil and place in oven to bake 20 minutes.
Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes.

- Yes, you will notice both fresh and canned jalapeno. I have found that the canned version adds a bit more flavor, but if you prefer fresh, add one fresh into the casserole and one diced on top!
