Grandma's Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes *drained
  • 24 oz spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic *minced
  • 1 lb cottage cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese *shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 box lasagna noodles

Instructions

  • Brown meat and drain. Add in garlic, spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, salt & pepper to taste. Simmer about 25-30 minutes.
  • Take a 9×13 pan and put in a couple tablespoon of sauce in the bottom to prevent sticking. Place 4-5 lasagna noodles in baking pan.
  • Cover with 1/3 sauce. Top with 1/2 the mozzarella cheese and 1/2 of the cottage cheese. Repeat layers starting with noodles, and ending with sauce on last layer of cheese. 
  • Top with grated or shredded Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand for about 10 minutes prior to serving.
