Smoked Baked Beans

If you love beans, you'll absolutely fall in love with these Smoked Baked Beans! Packed with flavor, cooked low and slow....this dish will be the hit of any gathering!

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/4 lb bacon, cut into small pieces (uncooked)
  • 2 cans baked beans *16-18 oz
  • 1 jalapeno, diced
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Paprika

Instructions

  • Place the bacon and diced onion on the bottom of your cast iron skillet.
  • Pour the beans over the bacon/onion mixture.
  • Sprinkle a bit of Cayenne pepper and Paprika on top (to desired amount).
  • Place jalapeno slices on top of beans.
  • Put skillet onto smoker and cook at 225 degrees for about 6 hours.
  • Remove from smoker and serve! *you can also cook via indirect heat on your grill and if you choose to decrease time, simply cook the bacon and onion first prior to adding it to your skillet. Then you can decrease cook time to 2 hours
