Loaded Mashed Potatoes

The perfect side dish to any meal, these potatoes are packed with cheese, bacon, sour cream, and butter!!

  • 5 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • salt/pepper to taste
  • 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
  • 1/2 lb bacon, cooked/crumbled
  • 3 green onions, chopped


  1. Boil potatoes in a large pot/dutch oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until tender.

  2. Drain water and place potatoes in a large bowl.

  3. Add the sour cream, milk, butter, salt, and pepper.

  4. Beat on medium speed with a mixer until fluffy.

  5. Stir in 2 cups of cheese, bacon, and green onion.

  6. Transfer mixture to a greased 3 quart baking dish.

  7. Sprinkle remaining one cup of cheese and top.

  8. Place in a preheated oven, 350, and bake for 30 minutes.
