gather your ingredients

1 1/2 Pound Loaf: water butter or margarine bread flour (or all purpose)  milk sugar salt active dry yeast OR machine/fast rise yeast

To make bread using a bread machine, start by adding liquid ingredients (water) to the pan. Place tablespoons of butter on each side of the pan to melt evenly into the dough. Add bread flour, followed by milk, sugar, and salt.

Create a well in the dry ingredients and add yeast. Lock the pan into the machine and choose the settings (basic, medium color, no time delay) and select the loaf size (1 1/2 or 2 lb).

Close the machine door, press start, and let it bake. Once done, use an oven glove to carefully remove the pan, then cut the bread or let it cool and store in an airtight container. Enjoy your homemade bread!
