Our family LOVES pasta! My kids go crazy for it, so I try to make new pasta dishes frequently. A few nights ago, I tried this one and it was a huge hit. I loved it since I was able to make it in my slow cooker. Nothing is easier than that, right? It ended up making enough for my family of 5 and still have leftovers for lunch the next day!! I was not sure what to call this since it is not a normal “alfredo” sauce. It has a bit more zesty flavor to it, which is a nice change!!
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
2 chicken breasts, cut into cubes
1 packet Italian dressing dry mix
8 oz cream cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 can water (use cream of chicken soup can)
3 cloves garlic, minced
Fettucine Pasta, cooked
In a slow cooker, place the butter, chicken breasts, and Italian seasoning mix on the bottom. Cover the slow cooker with the lid and allow to cook on low 4-5, or high 3 hours. After chicken is cooked, add in the cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, water, and garlic. Stir until combined and allow to cook an additional one hour. Serve sauce over cooked pasta. Enjoy!
