My hubby and I tried yet another panini recipe. I am totally digging our new panini press and HIGHLY recommend getting one if you are a panini fan. Yum!!! There are so many recipes and variations we will be trying, but so far, we have loved them all. This one was super simple and quick to make. We were able to throw it together before heading to church a few nights back. We had quite the happy tummy’s!
Ingredients: (makes four sandwiches)
One loaf Focaccia bread (we used Parmesan and Peppercorn bread)
1/2 lb sliced Roast Beef
1/2 lb sliced Provolone cheese
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
Mayonnaise or Horseradish
Cut focaccia bread into four sandwiches, then slice in half creating two slices of bread per sandwich. On one side of bread, spread mayo or horseradish. On other side, pile roast beef, cheese, and peppers. Put slices of sandwich together and place sandwich onto a heated panini press (you can use a griddle as well, similar to how you would make a grilled cheese). Close panini press and cook about 5 minutes, or until bread is toasted and cheese is melted. Enjoy!
