Reese’s Cheesecake Brownies

September 2, 2012 by Kristin Leave a Comment

In my family, our birthday tradition is that between my parents and us (my hubby and I), we make the birthday person dessert/dinner. Today, being my birthday, my parents were in charge of the dinner, any dinner of my choice, and my hubby was in charge of dessert, again, my choice. I searched Pinterest high and low and came across this. All of my favorites in one; peanut butter, cheesecake, and brownies. It was AMAZING. Great job honey on making it, it turned out amazing!!

Ingredients:

1 (19.5oz) box of chocolate brownie mix
1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese
1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
12 oz Reese’s pieces candy
1 (12oz) bag milk chocolate chips
3 tbsp whipping cream
12 large Reese’s peanut butter cups, chopped

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9×13 baking pan. Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions. Spread batter in pan and set aside. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with hand held mixer until fluffy. Add condensed milk and peanut butter. Beat until smooth. Stir in Reese’s pieces candies. Spoon mixture over the batter. Spread evenly.
Bake in oven for 40 minutes, or until cheesecake layer is set and edges are golden brown. Cool for 30 minutes and  refrigerate for 30 minutes.
In a small microwavable bowl, microwave the chocolate chips and whipping cream for 1 minute, or until chips are melted. Stir until smooth. Spread over cheesecake layer. Sprinkle chopped Reese’s peanut butter cup pieces over top of pan. Store covered in refrigerator.
