This delicious, easy dish will sure win over even those who aren’t a big fan of shrimp! Garlic Cilantro Shrimp is packed full of flavor!

    Garlic Cilantro Shrimp Inspiration

I have never been a fan of shrimp. Growing up, any time my mom would include it in a dish, I would always pick it out or just eat extra sides in place of it. Fast forward to having a family of my own and all 4 of them LOVE shrimp. Ugh! I try to change things up and add it to the meal plan to keep them happy, and typically I make myself a salad, etc.

Well, last week, my grocery store had a sale on their shrimp and I bought tons. I told my hubby and he immediately put his thinking cap on and asked to be in charge of dinner. Of course I agreed! He ended up whipping this garlic cilantro shrimp up and not only did all four of them love it, much to my surprise, SO DID I! It was packed with flavor, tender shrimp, and overall quite impressive of a dish. My hubby had it ready to go in no time and I gave him the green light to definitely make it again. That’s how I know if you are a shrimp lover, and even if you aren’t, you’ll love these!

    Garlic Cilantro Shrimp Ingredients

Garlic, top cut off: Fresh garlic is going to send this dish into another dimension with its bold flavor profile—sweet and strong aroma and taste!

Chopped cilantro: Fresh cilantro (and fresh herbs in general) are always the way to go! Cilantro flavors are said to offer a hint of tangy citrus!

Uncooked prawns: Prawns are a great source of vitamins, minerals, and protective antioxidants—not to mention rich in protein that will keep you feeling satisfied for longer!

Salt: Just a little salt goes a long way. You don’t need a lot to get the desired impact!

Pepper: Pepper will add just a slight kick of spice and help balance out the salty flavors!

Olive Oil: Many cooking pros like to cover their garlic in olive oil—some even claim that the combo has immunity boosting properties given it’s rich in nutrients such as vitamins B1, C, B6, and more!

Lime juice:  While I do have another cilantro lime recipe (which you’ll see below), this recipe also includes a little fresh lime juice to add a touch of lime zest too!

White wine: Adding white wine is often used in place of vinegar, offering a less acidic option, and creating an even more complex depth of flavor to the profile.

Chili sauce: Chili sauce will help pack a punch of flavor to this dish—making this the best of the best of all spicy shrimp recipes.
