Every Saturday evening, my family and I go to church. It works out better for us since getting three young kids out the door first thing Sunday morning, was not the simplest thing to do. Since we typically need to leave by 5:30, I need to make sure dinner is on the table by 5pm. I dont know about you but on the weekends, I tend to get a little lazy. I dont feel like prepping dinner and spending tons of time in the kitchen, so I save the “quick and easy” meals for the weekends. These crescents took about 5 minutes to put together and everyone loved them. I even took the leftovers and put them in the freezer for my hubby to take for lunches. These would be great for parties, snacks, lunches, and dinners.
2 containers crescent rolls (16 total)
1 lb roast beef, sliced thin
Mayonnaise or Horseradish
Au Jus (I used a package from the store, but you could make your own if desired)
Unroll the crescents and lay each one out individually. Place a thin layer of horseradish or mayo on inside of crescent. Place 1/2 slice of cheese and 2 slices of roast beef in middle of crescent and roll up. Once all are rolled, place on a baking sheet. Place into a preheated oven, 375, and bake for 12-13 minutes. While crescents are cooking, warm up the au jus and pour into serving dishes. Once crescents are golden brown, remove from oven and serve with sauce. *We served ours with homemade potato salad!!
