Not only are they easy to prepare, but they can be easily adapted to fit anyone’s tastes. If you’re a sausage fan, feel free to use crumbled sausage in place of the bacon!

Ingredients Needed for the Best Breakfast Sliders
For full ingredient amounts and printable recipe card, scroll below!
- Eggs– you’ll use 8 eggs in this recipe, so make sure you have enough
- Heavy Cream– this helps make the scrambled eggs creamier and delicious
- Salt/Pepper– to taste
- Bacon– I love using Jalapeno Bacon for this recipe, however, you can use breakfast sausage, ham, or omit altogether
- Cheese– we love shredded Cheddar Cheese, however, you can use Pepper Jack, American cheese, Provolone, etc.
- Hawaiian Sweet Rolls– these add the most flavor and are perfectly sized, however, you can swap it out for mini bagels, biscuits, slider buns, or any roll desired
- Butter– I use unsalted butter in this recipe, but any type works
- Maple Syrup– you’ll use this to make an incredible Maple butter topping to brush on top of the rolls
How to make Delicious Breakfast Sliders
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
- Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add in the egg mixture. Scramble and set aside.
- Cook bacon in a skillet, air fryer, or the oven until crispy. Cut into smaller pieces and set aside.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally trying to keep them together and in tact.
- Place bottom of rolls on bottom of sprayed pan.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of Cheddar cheese over bottom of rolls.
- Layer scrambled eggs, bacon pieces, and remaining cheese.
- Place top buns on top of cheese to create sandwiches.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter with maple syrup.
- Brush mixture on top of slider sandwiches coating thoroughly.
- Place pan into oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and enjoy these cheese breakfast sliders!
Variations and Kitchen Tips
- Use breakfast sausage in place of the bacon.
- To make the rolls softer, you can cover the pan with aluminum foil prior to baking. The sliders will be soft and fluffy.
- One of the easiest ways to cook bacon I have found, is in the oven. For directions, see HERE!
- Add green onions, peppers, or mushrooms into the egg mixture for a yummy veggie addition.
- Instead of shredded cheese, you can use sliced cheese such as American Cheese Slices, Provolone, and more!
- I recommend freshly grating your own cheddar cheese, it is creamier and melts easier.
Make Ahead Instructions
Save time by prepping these Hawaiian Breakfast Sliders ahead of time!
- Fully assemble these sliders as directed in the recipe and simply cover pan with tin foil and place in refrigerator up to 48 hours in advance.
- If you are bringing these somewhere such as a brunch or tailgating, bake as directed and wrap pan or each slider individually in aluminum foil. This will keep them warm longer.
- You can also prepare all the needed ingredients and store separately in the refrigerator up to 72 hours and assemble when needed.
Storage Tips
Once the sausage egg and cheese sandwiches are cooled, transfer them to an airtight container or freezer bag.
- Leftover sliders should be wrapped and stored in fridge up to 3 days.
- You can freeze leftover sliders individually or in a freezer safe container up to 3 months.
- Simply thaw and reheat in oven, air fryer, or microwave. If reheating in microwave, they should only take about 45 seconds.

Kristin, any thoughts as to using parchment paper to line the pan instead of grease? It seems it might make removing sliders from the pan much easier, as well as clean up, or am I missing something? Thank you!
Kristin
That should work great too! Great idea! Hope you enjoy!
