Cinnamon Roll Cocktail Ingredients Needed
Below is a brief overview of each ingredient needed to make this sweet cocktail. To see printable recipe card, scroll to the bottom of this post.
- Rumchata– is a creamy liqueur that’s made with Caribbean rum, dairy cream, cinnamon, vanilla, and other flavorings. This adds the creaminess to the drink.
- Fireball Whisky– a cinnamon-flavored whisky liqueur, this brings all the cinnamon flavor throughout. Adds a kick of cinnamon spice.
- Cream Soda– this adds a vanilla taste to the overall flavor. Any brand works.
- Cinnamon/ Sugar– you’ll use ground cinnamon and sugar to rim the cocktail glass.
- Light Corn Syrup– this is used to rim the glass so that the ground cinnamon sticks perfectly.
- Whipped Cream/ Cinnamon Sticks– these are both optional, but add a great garnish idea.
How to make a Cinnamon Roll Cocktail
- Rim your cocktail glass by adding the corn syrup to a shallow saucer or dish.
- In a separate saucer or small dish. add the sugar and cinnamon, stirring to combine.
- Dip the glass rim into the corn syrup, followed by the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- In your cocktail shaker, add a handful of ice cubes, the Rumchata, and Fireball. Shake vigorously to combine and chill.
- Pour into the glass and fill remainder up with cream soda. PRO TIP: feel free to pour over ice in glass to keep it chill longer.
- Top with whipped cream and garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired. Serve and enjoy!
Tips for making this Rumchata Cocktail
- If you don’t have Rumchata on hand, you can also use Bailey’s Irish Cream or Kahlua for a coffee addition.
- In place of the cream soda, you can use milk, heavy cream, or half and half. It won’t add the carbonation, but will still be a great substitution.
- Chill the liquors prior to making this recipe as you won’t have to use ice and that equates a less watered down beverage.
- I don’t recommend making this in advance as the cream soda will lose its carbonation and not be as bubbly of an addition. Assemble when ready to enjoy.
- This is a great recipe to increase and make in a large pitcher for serving lots of drinks at a party. It is ready in minutes and everyone will enjoy.

Is it cream soda like the pink stuff or root beer like the photo shows? I want to make this proper 😉
Kristin
Either works, but I tend to prefer the A & W brand of Cream Soda in this recipe! Enjoy!
Jana
Made with Faygo Cream Soda and it was delish! Faygo is popular in Michigan.
Kristin
Ooooo, yum! I have never heard of that, but I’ll need to check it out sometime!

Hmmm .. maybe I bought the wrong sort of cream soda (IBC brand), but my drink tasted more like watered-down Fireball than a cinnamon roll….. :'(
Kristin
Hmmmm, that’s weird! Play around with brands and see which is your favorite. I have found that different brands change the flavors completely and its all based on preference!
