When I came upon this recipe, I was a little confused…chicken stroganoff?? I have only heard of beef stroganoff before, so I wanted to try this. Plus, it was a slow cooker dinner which is the best kind, less work for me, 🙂
This is full of flavor, is very kid friendly, super simple, and makes a lot, so the leftovers are an added bonus!!
1 can cream of mushroom soup
16 oz sour cream
1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
1 lb boneless chicken breasts (frozen or thawed)
Place chicken on bottom of your slow cooker. In small bowl, mix together remaining ingredients. Pour mixture over chicken and cover. Cook on high 4-5 hours, low 7-8 hours. Once cooked, shred chicken using a fork. Serve!
*I served mine over egg noodles since my kids love pasta, however, you can also serve it over biscuits or potatoes!
