Beef Bundles (aka Beef Stuffed Crescents)

April 26, 2013 by Kristin 2 Comments

Yesterday, with the weather being so nice, the kids and I wanted to spend as much time outside as possible. I put these together during the kids nap time, and was able to enjoy the afternoon in the sun. Around dinner time, I popped these into the oven, and 12 minutes later, dinner was served. The kids enjoyed them since it was a “utensil free) dinner, *I served fries with these to keep the “kid-friendly” theme. These were tasty, simple, kid friendly, and everyone enjoyed them! Its a winner in our eyes, : )
My hubby wanted me to name these “Golden Nuggets”, my kids thought “Beef Bundles” was a good name, as you can see from the title, kids won, hehe!!

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef or turkey
6 oz cream cheese
1 (4 oz) can green chilies
1 tsp Taco Seasoning or a packet from the store
2-3 containers of crescent rolls (depending on how many you want to make)
Salsa (for dipping)

Directions:

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef/turkey with chilies  Once cooked through, drain fat. Pour meat mixture into a medium bowl and add in seasoning and cream cheese. Mix together well. Open containers of crescents and scoop about 2 tbsp meat mixture into the middle of each crescent. Roll up crescent, folding sides up into it, creating a pocket. Place on a cookie sheet and bake in a preheated oven, 375, for about 12-14 minutes. Serve warm, use salsa for dipping if desired.
