Over the weekend, I mentioned in my previous post that my family celebrated my dad’s birthday. We had steak kabobs, these yummy potatoes, fresh fruit, garlic bread, and delicious Apple Bake! It was an amazing dinner!!! These packets were great to make with the kabobs because my husband threw everything on the grill at once, and when the kabobs were ready, so were the potatoes. Clean up was quite simple since we each had eaten out of the packet, so needless to say, these were a winner!!!
3-4 sheets heavy duty foil
1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
10-12 baby red potatoes, thinly sliced
12 slices cooked, crumbled bacon
1 cup shredded cheese
Salt/Pepper to taste
3-4 tbsp butter
Sour Cream (for topping)
Spray each sheet of foil with cooking spray. Top each piece of foil with an even amount of potatoes, bacon, and Lipton onion soup mix. Mix to coat evenly. Add salt/pepper to taste. Add 1 tbsp of butter to each packet. Wrap securely and place on grill. Grill for about 20-30 minutes. If you bake these, bake at 350 for about 35 minutes. Once cooked, remove from heat and open packets carefully. Place some sour cream on top and serve!
