As many of you know from reading the blog, I am OBSESSED with my cast iron skillet. Seriously, where has it been all my life? It definitely is one of the most used items in my kitchen these days!

Since I love mine so much, I decided to give one of YOU one as well!! You can use it to make tons of items on the stovetop, in the oven, on the grill, etc.

    The first thing I would make using my new skillet is skillet bread. I can remember learning about skillet bread on an occasion when I slept at my sister’s house. I think it was the wonderful smell of the bread that woke me up. Then once I tasted it I never looked back. This bread was like something I’ve never experienced before. The other thing I love about it is each loaf can be changed to a different flavor. Thank you so much for this give away!

    Oh my goodness – the first thing I would do with my cast iron skillet is season it and hoping you would send the best way to season instructions. Then I would have to fix a skillet full of my Memaw’s cornbread. It was the best ever and very much a comfort food as it brings back so many wonderful memories.

    The first thing I would make using my new skillet is a one pan skillet meal from baked salmon, diced red potatoes, and a green veggie, maybe fresh broccoli or green beans. I know the skillet would give everything an extra crispy layer, but still retain the tenderness. Can’t wait to give it a try if I win (fingers crossed)!

    I love cast iron skillets too! The ONLY way to make many recipes…The first thing I would make in it would be country fried potatoes with onion and bell pepper. The skillet gets that crunchy crust on this dish that makes cooking with cast iron SO rewarding!

    I would make a true southern cornbread. There are so many recipes that call for an iron skillet then baked in the oven. I have had to pass on some really great recipes for lack of an iron skillet.

    I would fry my husbands Trout he catches. They are best made in iron skillets.Then I would make delicious jalapeno cornbread to go with it. Everything taste better prepared in an iron skillet.

    Oh…the first would be chicken cordon blue, then fried chicken, zucchini & potato pancakes. I love my one cast skillet, but with a big family it takes forever to cook what I need, another would be perfect

    I would love a cast iron pan I would make the breakfast on the fire pit it’s the most delish breakfast I’ve ever had but only get it when camping you cook potatoes bacon and then you crack some eggs right over the top of everything yum
