Slow Cooker Hot Cocoa

This past Saturday, my hubby and I were busy completing chores around the house. Around lunchtime, we put the kiddos to bed and I decided to put some hot cocoa in the slow cooker, so that when the kids woke up, we could all have a yummy treat to enjoy! It took me about 5 minutes tops to put this together and when the kids woke up, everyone definitely enjoyed it! I kept thinking how perfect it would be to throw together before you go Christmas shopping or playing out in the snow, come inside and warm up with a cup of this!! If you have people coming over for a gathering, this is a great option as well!!!

5 cups milk
1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup hot water
Whip Cream (optional)
Nutmeg (optional)

In a pan, combine the cocoa powder, white sugar, and water. Bring to a boil. Pour mixture into bottom of slow cooker. Add in milk and stir until combined. Cover with lid and allow to cook 4 hours on low, 2 hours on high. *You can move this to “keep warm” function once cooked if desired.
Ladle into mugs and top with whip cream and nutmeg/sprinkles!
