Chocolate Candy Cane Kiss Cookies

Each year, I try to make a few new recipes to change up the Christmas goodie variety. This year, I decided to try these cookies for a cookie exchange party I went to. Not only were they so easy to make, but they turned out so cute and festive. My hubby said these may be one of his new top favorite cookies I make!!

1/3 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup plain greek yogurt
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups flour
Candy Cane kisses, unwrapped

In a mixing bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add in the egg and yogurt. In a separate bowl, mix together the cocoa powder, baking soda, and flour. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. The dough will be sticky, but that is okay. Roll dough into one inch balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated oven, 350, for about 8 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to set for 1-2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and place on cooling rack. Press candy cane kiss into top of cookie. Allow cookie to cool completely before moving as the kisses will melt/smear if touched too early.
