Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese

When my kids were really little, their most favorite meal was macaroni and cheese. I have probably tried about ten different versions, and they STILL prefer the boxed kind. I was busy cleaning my house yesterday and didn’t have time to think about dinner. I decided to throw this version of macaroni into my slow cooker and hope for the best. I am glad I did because it was a hit with the family and took no time to make. My daughter, who is probably one of the pickiest little kiddos ever, actually scraped her plate clean! If you are looking for some yummy comfort food or just pressed for time, throw this dinner in your slow cooker!!


2 1/2 cups elbow macaroni
1 cup Velveeta cheese, shredded or cut into chunks
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (8 oz) can cheddar cheese soup
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
3 tbsp milk



Cook macaroni pasta for about 5 minutes. You want it to be somewhat tender, but not fully cooked. Drain water and add pasta into your slow cooker. Pour melted butter on top and toss to coat. Add in Velveeta cheese and cheese soup. Stir until mixed thoroughly. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top and stir. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and place lid of slow cooker on top. Cook on low for about 1 1/2 hours. Serve. *Put a few shakes of Paprika on top if desired
