1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti ( I used whole wheat but you can use any kind)
1/4 cup olive oil
1 bag of fresh spinach
About 2 tablespoons of pasta water
8 slices bacon, crumbled
Garlic salt and Cajun seasoning to desired taste
Prepare pasta according to instructions. In a separate skillet heat the olive oil over medium heat. Cook the bacon until it has begun to shrink, about 3 minutes. Remove the bacon, and crumble. place to the side to top off pasta. Drain water from pasta reserving the 2 tablespoons to place back in. Add the spinach , pasta water and pasta back to the pot, continue cooking and stirring until the spinach has softened. Toss the pasta with the bacon and seasonings. Enjoy!
