This method of cooking bacon in the oven is life changing. Yep, life changing! No more grease burning you while cooking bacon in the skillet, dealing with a grease explosion in the microwave, or having to endure several days of “bacon smell” in your house. This method is the most hassle free, fool proof way to cook bacon perfectly each and every time!
All you need is a cookie sheet, parchment paper, and of course…. bacon!!
Perfectly crisp, mess free, fail proof bacon cooked conveniently in the oven! Save on time and let the oven do all the work!
When it comes to cooking bacon in the oven, bacon ends up perfectly crisp every time! No more days of having some of the pieces perfectly cooked, others still chewy, and the rest charred from hot spots! Cooking bacon on the stovetop creates splatters all over which can be a pain to clean up! Plus, since the heat isn’t evenly distributed, you have hot spots, creating unevenly cooked bacon.
Cooking bacon in the oven cooks the bacon evenly through, no more hot spots, and no more splashes of grease all over your stovetop. Plus, since the oven is doing all the work, you are freed up to move on to other things!
How to cook PERFECT bacon in the oven:
Preheat oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Arrange bacon in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Place baking sheet into oven and allow to cook about 18 minutes, or until desired doneness is reached.
Remove from oven and move bacon to a paper towel to absorb the excess grease.
Serve and enjoy!
Benefits of this oven version:
Sure, you can cook bacon on the stovetop or in the microwave, but below, you’ll find a few benefits of this simple oven version. Once you give it a try, you may never go back!
*You can cook as much or as little as needed. Need a ton of bacon for a get together or several meals? Simply use a few cookie sheets and place in the oven together!
*This oven method is WAY cleaner! In fact, a new little trick I have been doing is to place tin foil on the bottom of my cookie sheet. Place the parchment paper on top of the foil, followed by the bacon. Once cooked, allow the grease to cool and simply fold up the foil into a packet and toss. Easy peasy!
*Cooking bacon in the oven frees up your time to move on to other dishes. Perhaps making eggs to pair with the bacon, waffles, pancakes, and more!

I refuse to fix bacon any other way. I even have one cookie sheet that is just the bacon pan.
Kristin
That’s so smart! Ill have to start doing that too as the pan never gets 100% back to original condition 🙂
Karen
Does the bacon splatter in the oven ?
Kristin
Nope, I have never had mine splatter, however, you can even put a piece of parchment paper on top to prevent it in case you’re worried!! Enjoy!! 🙂
Barb
I sometimes sprinkle light brown sugar over bacon before putting in oven. Also, I try different rubs for a different flavor. Delicious and easy.
Kristin
Ooooo yum! Great idea!
