Growing up, my mom used to make this for our family quite often. They were a quick, yummy breakfast or snack and we loved them. My kids had these for the first time over the weekend and they quickly gobbled them up as well. They are the perfect Fall treat, and they are simple and quick, making them very family friendly.
3 tubes Buttermilk Biscuits (there are 10 per tube, adjust depending on how many donuts desired)
Vegetable Oil (about 1-1 1/2 inches deep in skillet)
Use a melon baller to cut a hole in the middle of each biscuit. Drop biscuit into hot oil (325-350*) and fry on each side until golden brown. Do the same with the donut holes (middle of biscuit). Once donut is golden brown, remove from oil and put on a paper towel or paper bag to drain excess oil. Toss the donut/hole into a cinnamon/sugar mixture (either in a bag or bowl). Serve warm!!!
