Sweet and Sour Chicken

Tonight for dinner, we were all in the mood for some yummy Chinese food. Instead of ordering out, I decided to find a yummy recipe that would taste the same. WOW! This version of the chicken was amazing, it literally tasted just like ordering take out, only it was home made! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for some yummy “take out” type food!!

Ingredients:

3-4 boneless chicken breasts
Salt/Pepper
1 cup cornstarch
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup canola oil
3/4 cup sugar
4 tbsp ketchup
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325. Cut chicken into cubes. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Dip chicken into cornstarch to coat, then dip into eggs. Heat 1/4 cup oil in a large skillet and cook the chicken until browned, but not cooked through. Place the chicken in a 9×13 greased baking dish. Mix the sugar, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic salt in small bowl. Pour mixture evenly over chicken. Bake for 45-50 minutes uncovered. During baking process flip chicken over halfway through.

*I served this with fried rice and it was delicious!!

While your recipes look delicious, your ‘Print Friendly’ aspect is not so much. I tried a few times to print a few of your recipes and each time I just got a lot of wasted ink and papers filled with ads and your logos but no recipes.

Oh no! Is there a box to click to opt out of printing those? Let me take a look at the program we use and see what is up with that. I will try to get it so you can opt out of anything other than the text from recipe! Sorry about that!!
